Please Give What You Can

In the devastating wake of Typhoon Haiyan our teams in the Philippines are doing whatever it takes to get life-saving supplies to children and families. We estimate 4 million children have been affected in the aftermath of the superstorm.

How Save the Children is responding:

  • A plane with almost 100 tonnes of aid supplies has arrived. The aid will be distributed to the worst hit areas. Items delivered include 4 mobile clinics12,000 blankets500 new born kits and a vast supply of basic shelter items.
  • A team of 12 doctors from the UK arriving to offer immediate treatment of the injured and sick
  • Nine senior logistics experts – from Britain, Australia, and Denmark – are making sure help gets through to the people who need it most
  • Teams assessing need in Llolio-llolio, Rohas, Tacloban, and two sites on the island of Cebu.
  • Four trucks headed for Tacloban loaded with tarpaulins, household goods, hygiene equipment, and fuel.
  • More planes are planned for the coming days which will see aid delivered from warehouses in Europe, Africa and Asia

Please donate to help those affected either online or by phoning 0800 8148 148.
